Whether no one is willing to leave the picture or you want everyone in the photo while capturing family or group photos, Android has a timer feature to help. Today, you will learn the steps to set a timer for Android camera.

With the feature enabled, users can delay the shot for a few seconds, depending on what they have selected. Read on to know how you can use this feature to take perfect pictures without missing anyone in the group.

While Android has officially had the countdown feature for years, even before iOS, you can also make use of third-party apps on your Android phones to set the timer for capturing photos. Since every phone brand has its own camera app that has different options and layouts, let’s take a look at how you can set a timer delay on your Android phone.

Pixel Phones

Pixel phones have a 3 or 10-second delay. You can choose whichever you need to apply, and then capture a photo with that particular delay. After choosing a delay, you will notice the countdown every time you try to take a photo in the middle of the screen with the sound of it. Here’s how you can do this:

Step 1: Open the Camera app on your Google Pixel phone.

Step 2: Tap the gear icon at the bottom, and you will see some photo settings options.
