There is no direct download option. Instead, you need to run through various hoops to download the Pro version of VMware Workstation. Here is how you can do it.
Creating A Broadcom Account
Now that Broadcom has taken over VMware, you will have to first follow these steps to create your account.
Step 1: Launch your favorite browser and go to this page.
Step 2: Click on the Download Fusion or Workstation button.
Step 3: If you have a Broadcom account, sign in. If not, you can go to this page to create a Broadcom account.
Step 4: You will be taken to a new page. Here, enter your email address and fill in the captcha displayed.
Step 5: A verification code will be sent to your email address, check your Inbox and enter the code.
Step 6: With the code entered, you now have to fill in your details in the registration form.
Step 7: Once the details have been entered, you will see a Registration Successful screen. You can choose to add more details to your Broadcom account, or click on the I’ll Do It later button to skip it.
Downloading VMware Workstation Pro
Once you have your account set, go back to the Broadcom sign-in page and sign in using your email address and password for your Broadcom account,
Step 1: After you have signed in, you will be taken to the Dashboard screen of your Broadcom account.
Step 2: Click on My Dashboard and then select the search bar on the page.
Step 3: Within the search bar, type in VMware Pro and click on the search result when it shows up.
Step 4: Under the Title header, click on the hyperlink that says VMware Workstation and Fusion Pro updates.
Step 5: Scroll down till you see references and then click on the first link and choose the latest version.
Step 6: You can choose between commercial and personal use. Under the Release row, click on the topmost option and select the latest version of VMware Workstation Pro.
Step 7: Make sure to select the box that says you agree to the terms and conditions.
Step 8: The download page will now appear. Click on the cloud icon on the right-hand side.
Step 9: A pop-up will appear asking if you are fine with additional verification. Click on Yes to proceed.
Step 10: Complete all the details that are needed and make sure to click on the I Agree radio button.
Step 11: Finally, click on the blue Submit button. You will now be taken back to the download page for VMware Workstation Pro.
Step 12: For the last bit, click on the cloud icon at the right. The download should begin right away. The file size can vary, but for this particular version, it weighs 618 MB.
Installing VMWare Workstation Pro
Once the download has been completed, you can go about installing the program on your PC. The installation process is the same, and you can follow the on-screen instructions, which are simple and easy to follow.
