Well, if you’re someone who has a PS5 and you love to play games on PC, then why go for another controller if you can utilize PS5 DualSense controller, which you already have. It is undoubtedly the best controller for gamers with many advanced features. And the DualSense controller works pretty well on PC unlike the PS4 controller.

How to use PS5 DualSense Controller on PC

Apart from being one of the best controllers, another reason why people love PS5 DualSense controller is due to the various color options that it comes in. If you just like to use your controllers the old school way, i.e., wired, then you can do that with your DualSense controller too. All you need is a Type A to Type C or Type C to Type C cable. Then connect your PC and controller using the cable.

  1. First up, make sure that your PC is switched on and Bluetooth has been enabled.
  2. Now grab your PS5 Dualsense controller. Make sure it is not connected via USB cable, and if the player indicator is on, turn it off by long pressing the PS button.
  3. On controller press and hold Create and PS buttons until the light bar blinks. This indicates that the PS5 Dualsense controller is in pairing mode.

  4. On your Windows PC, go to Settings > Bluetooth and Devices > Add Device > Bluetooth.

  5. Your Windows PC will begin to search for Bluetooth devices within its range.
  6. Once you see the PS5 DualSense controller from the devices list, click on it to connect with the PC.
  7. The pairing process will be completed when the light bar on the controller links and the player indicator lights up, the controller is ready for use.

Note: To reconnect the controller with PS5, first connect it using a USB cable, then press the PS button. After that, you can remove the USB. Switching between two devices back and forth requires you to pair the controller each time. To ease the process you can use a Bluetooth dongle or adapter that can be inserted into the USB port of the device you are connecting to.

While the DualSense controller has haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, you need to know that these may or may not function with all the games that you play. Yes, you can use the DualSense controller for Steam games. There are a lot of PC games out there on Steam that have support for the DualSense PS5 controller. But you need to setup the controller on Steam client. You can follow these steps:

  1. First connect the controller to PC using one of the methods.
  2. Open Steam and navigate to Settings > Controller > General controller settings.
