Facebook’s drafts are a great way to keep a post ready for publishing, but also give you the flexibility to make changes to it before the post gets published or goes live. These drafts are very helpful for those who are social media managers who juggle between two or more social media accounts or pages on Facebook.

However, for those who might be new to creating Facebook posts or want to create drafts in general, have often stated that they have had difficulty in finding the drafts that they have created. If you are one of those people who have these issues, do not worry! Our detailed guide here shows you how you can access your saved drafts on Facebook, whether you use the Android app, iOS app, or the web browser.

Where to Find Your Drafts on Facebook?

Before we dive into the steps on how you can view your drafts created on Facebook, you need to know that Facebook keeps your drafts only for a few days. Once the days are up, Facebook will clear out your drafts. So, if you were trying to look for drafts that are older than 3 days, you would not find them.

Find Saved Drafts on Facebook

View Facebook Drafts of a Personal Profile via the Facebook Android App

When it comes to the Facebook app for Android smartphones, there is no dedicated option or menu for you to view your Facebook drafts, especially if you have made drafts on your personal Facebook profile. There is, however, a workaround that you can try by following the steps below.

  1. Open the Facebook app and tap on the What’s on your Mind text box.
  2. Here, type in what you need to type and then tap on the back arrow in the top left corner.
  3. A pop-up menu will appear. Tap on Save as Drafts.

  4. A Facebook notification will pop up on your smartphone’s notification panel. Make sure Facebook app notifications are not blocked on your device.

  6. You can choose to edit the draft or discard the draft.
  7. However, drafts older than 3 days will be removed automatically by Facebook.

View Facebook Drafts of a Personal Profile via the Facebook iOS App

Meanwhile, on the iOS side of things, viewing drafts is a different manner. Here is how you view a draft on the iOS Facebook app.

  1. Launch the Facebook app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap on the What’s on your mind text box. Type in whatever you plan to publish as a post.

  3. Tap on the X icon in the top left corner and choose Save Draft.

  4. If you close the Facebook app and launch it again, tap on the What’s on your mind text box. You will see the draft that you last created, ready to be edited and published.

Unlike the Android counterpart, the iOS Facebook app lets you only store and edit a single draft. You cannot see your older drafts- just the one draft that you recently created.

View Facebook Drafts via a Web Browser

So, if you use Facebook on a browser on your PC, one thing you need to know is that all the drafts that you have created using the Android or iOS cannot be viewed by the web version of Facebook.

Additionally, you cannot create drafts using your personal Facebook account. With the web version of Facebook, you can only create drafts for your Facebook Pages. For this, you will have to use the Meta Business Suites menu.

  1. Open your favorite web browser and sign in to your Facebook account.
  2. From the sidebar on the left, click on the Pages option.

  3. Select Meta Business Suite from the Pages sidebar.

  2. Launch the app and connect your Facebook Profile to the app that has Facebook Pages you manage.
  3. Tap on the + icon at the bottom of the screen, followed by Post.
